Quran Memorisation (Hifz)

The Path to Hifz is a structured and guided course designed to help students memorize the Qur’an in an organized and effective way. This course adopts the proven Three-Pillar Method of memorization, making the journey to Hifz more manageable, productive, and spiritually rewarding.

Whether you’re a beginner or someone who is revising portions of the Qur’an, this course provides a step-by-step approach to memorize and retain your lessons. Students will be encouraged to work at their own pace while following a consistent and disciplined routine.

Pillar 1: Sabaq (New Lesson Memorization)

In this pillar, you will focus on memorizing new portions of the Qur’an.

Topics include:

  • Understanding how to break down new verses into manageable sections
  • Repetition techniques for memorization
  • Listening to recitations for proper pronunciation
How to pace yourself to memorize efficiently
  • Daily targets and progress tracking

By the end of this pillar, students will have a new set of verses committed to memory.

Pillar 2: Sabqi (Recent Revision – Last 5–7 Days)

This pillar ensures that you retain and reinforce your recent memorized portions by reviewing them within 5-7 days.

Topics include:

  • Revision strategies for short-term memory retention
  • Spaced repetition techniques for long-term retention
  • Correcting mistakes from recent lessons
Using audio and written forms for better recall
  • How to manage the pace of revision based on your progress

The goal is to ensure the new verses you’ve memorized are thoroughly integrated into your memory and are ready for long-term retention.

Pillar 3: Manzil (Distant Revision of Previous Juz/Para)

The Manzil pillar focuses on the distant revision of older portions, typically memorized in earlier stages of Hifz.

Topics include:

  • Creating a long-term revision plan for older portions
  • Reviewing entire Juz/Para sections at intervals
  • Understanding the importance of revisiting memorized portions to avoid forgetting
Tools and techniques for large-scale revision (e.g., audio recitation, group memorization)
  • The role of consistency in maintaining memorization

By completing the Manzil pillar, students will ensure that all previously memorized portions are retained and solidified in their memory.
